Fiery ball speeds ignited by a HOT METAL Ti9 face are converted into optimized yardage using Mizuno's FAST TRACK adjustable weight tracks. Two 8 gram sliding weights can be quickly re-located in 10 different points, creating a total of 45 finely tuned flight patterns. With weights set closer to the face, spin rates can be reduced for faster ball speeds, with a drop of around 400rpm achievable.

What Mizuno Say.
The new JPX800 HOT METAL with Ultimate Dynamic Stability increases average driving distance by specifically targeting an improvement in ball speeds from shots struck above and below the sweet spot. Data from Mizuno’s Tour testing and National Fitting Centres showed that most distance loss occurs when golfers miss-hit from high or low on the clubface. In response, Mizuno’s design team increased the JPX800s vertical MOI, alongside the standard extension from heel to toe. In sync with Mizunos Balanced Performance philosophy, the JPX800 sits with a square clubface at address – relying on a complex internal weighting system for its straight, high flight. By analyzing thousands of fittings at its National Fitting Centres, Mizuno found that the square set-up best neutralised the amateurs most destructive shot – the pull straight left. A Message from Masao Nagai, Global Director of R&D
Mizuno believes that the JPX line gives an ideal platform to enhance the performance of its metal woods. “JPX stands for high technology and freedom of design,” commented Masai Nagai, Global Director of R&D. “Now that JPX is a global mark, we can amalgamate all of Mizuno’s worldwide technologies under one banner.” Astonishing distances that push the boundaries of the R&A and USGAs performance limitations are achieved by plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face to a 431 stainless steel body, a technique perfected in Mizunos MP Fli-Hi utility iron. The HOT METAL face is teamed with a hollow construction and internal weighting -encouraging strikes from a wide area of the face to hold their line with minimal distance loss. The hollow construction also allows weight to be engineered deep within the head for a naturally high trajectory – enabling the use of stronger lofts for even greater distance. Aggressively bevelled lead and trailing edges effectively narrow the MX-1000s substantial soleplate, for clean turf interaction and use from a variety of lies. Mizuno Exsar DS5 Stock Shaft
