This week saw another incredible performance for Titleist Pro V1 players with 5 wins across the globe. Andres Romero, who uses Titleist Pro V1x balls, won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in his 12th career start on the US PGA Tour, finishing with a 4-under par 68 for a 13-under 275 total. Romero becomes the eighth player to win on the 2008 US PGA Tour with a Titleist golf ball which is more than all other competitors combined. Titleist was the most used golf ball at the Zurich Classic with 100 players, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19. The Titleist golf ball players include Padraig Harrington, Woody Austin who both use Titleist Pro V1x balls and Titleist ambassadors Tim Wilkinson who’s golf balls of choice are Titleist Pro V1 golf balls and Nicholas Thompson who uses Titleist Pro V1x balls. Titleist was also the most used golf ball at the Open de Andalucía with 100 players, compared to 19 for the nearest competitor. The win is the eighth by a Titleist player on the 2008 PGA European Tour, nearly three times the nearest competitor with 3. With 36 Worldwide wins so far in 2008, over four times its nearest competitor with 8, this week’s performance and the constant flow of Titleist victories just goes to show how the world’s best opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.
