Dodt Trusts Titleist for Maiden Europan Tour Victory

Titleist Brand Ambassador Andrew Dodt birdies two of his last three holes to claim the inaugural Avantha Masters

Full line Titleist player Andrew Dodt claimed his maiden European Tour title at the Avantha Masters in India, trusting the precision and playability of Titleist products throughout his bag. Dodt fired a final round 4-under par 68, including birdies at the 16th and 18th holes, to claim a one stroke victory with a 14-under par total of 274. Dodt’s victory comes just a week after joining the European Tour as an affiliate member, and sees him instantly leap into the European Tour’s winners circle and into the top-10 on the Race to Dubai standings.

The Australian trusted Titleist from tee to green for his win. This included the legendary Pro V1x golf ball, 909D2 driver, 909F3 3-wood, New CB irons, Vokey Design pitching, sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport putter. Joining Dodt at the top of the leaderboard were fellow Pro V1x loyalists David Drysdale and Barry Lane who trusted the feel and control of the #1 ball in golf to tie for third place on 12-under par. Titleist golf balls were also the choice of the majority of the field, with 84 players putting their trust in Titleist, more than four times the nearest competitor with 18. Titleist also topped the count for irons and led the way in the wedge categories topping the counts for sand, lob and approach wedges respectively.

Elsewhere, in South Africa, Pro V1x loyalist Darren Fichardt birdied the 72nd hole to finish one shot ahead of fellow Pro V1x loyalists Louis Oosthuizen and Daniel Greene and claim the 2010 Dimension Data Pro-Am. They were joined at the top of the leaderboard by Titleist Brand Ambassador Tyron Van Aswegan who made it a Titleist 1-2-3-4, as he finished tied fourth. On the Australasian Tour, full line Titleist player Alistair Presnell shot an incredible 12-under par final round 60, to claim the Cellarbrations Victorian PGA Championship. Presnell finished on 22-under par 266, to claim victory by one shot from fellow Pro V1x loyalist Kurt Barnes and one other player. These victories take Titleist’s 2010 worldwide golf ball win count to 15, five times the nearest competitor with 3 and more than all other brands combined.

A maiden European Tour victory for Titleist Ambassador Andrew Dodt, as well further victories across worldwide professional tours for the legendary Pro V1 franchise continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.
