Stability is top priority for Footjoy
FootJoy continue to rise to the top against competition
FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, recently completed an extensive test of several leading footwear products used on the PGA Tour. Results indicated that FootJoy offer the best stability in their shoes, a fact that is supported by the 60%+ of PGA Tour players putting their trust in FootJoy footwear.
FootJoy’s advanced development team works with its worldwide network of Tour players, leading biomechanical experts, and staff at the Titleist Performance Institute. The goal is to continuously develop and re-establish new standards for performance footwear. “A key indicator of platform stability is force platform testing, which effectively measures the amount of ground force created by the right foot (for the right-handed golfer) in the direction of the ball flight during the golf swing,” said Doug Robinson, Vice President of Design & Development Worldwide, FootJoy. “Higher results indicate that more power is transferred by the back foot from the top of the backswing through impact and follow-through.”
Utilising an outside biomechanical expert and low handicap test subjects, FootJoy tested several leading footwear products using the force platform. The test results indicated that the SYNR-G™, DryJoys® and recently launched FJ SPORT™ golf shoe models outperform other shoes on the market by a significant margin.
“We’re very pleased with the results of the force platform test” said Robinson. “It’s gratifying to validate our relentless efforts to satisfy the best players in the world. They look to FootJoy to constantly lead, innovate and make the best performing product. Using Padraig Harrington’s own words, our shoes clearly ‘do the job’ better.”
Introduced in January 2009, SYNR-G golf shoes became an instant success on Tour. Steve Stricker, Zach Johnson, Michael Hoey and Jerry Kelly all won wearing SYNR-G shoes. In addition, dozens of others, including Padraig Harrington, enjoy its performance and comfort week in, week out. SYNR-G is constructed with an ultra-supportive tri-density TPU outsole and an exclusive tri-lateral stability frame. Comfort is enhanced with memory foam around the collar and under the tongue, which also optimises fit and stabilises the foot inside the shoe.
Whether it is the all-round excellence of the all new FJ ICON, the unrivalled stability of the SYNR-G, or the reliable and consistent performance of DryJoys, FootJoy remains the overwhelming favourite for golfers of all abilities around the world.

Meet the New Callaway Diablo Edge Family
Callaway edge technology has the unique shaping of the all titanium club heads allowed engineers to move weight in specific locations to achieve the optimal CG location and ball flights for the Draw or Neutral options with a higher MOI. It also helps close the clubface at impact so golfers can better release the club with power.
The new Callaway edge family consists of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and iron sets.
Designed to give golfers a distance advantage every time you tee it up. The Diablo Edge and Diablo Edge Tour Drivers offer superior face technology, a higher MOI, a deeper CG, and better aerodynamics — and it all adds up to the longest, most accurate all-titanium drivers Callaway Golf has ever made.
Diablo Edge Drivers feature two unique shapes (standard and tour), but all the same technology. Both drivers offer a 4-Piece Fused Titanium Design, a Chemically Milled Hyperbolic Face Cup and an Aerodynamic Body Shape for the longest all-titanium driver we have ever developed. The standard models feature a core Callaway technology (S2H2), which removes weight from the hosel and repositions it in the perimeter of the golf club for more stability. The Tour models have a full-length hosel, less face progression and an optimized centre of gravity that provides the look, feel and performance highly skilled golfers demand.
Callaway Diablo Edge Fairway Wood
The new Diablo Edge Fairway Woods are the longest, straightest steel fairway woods Callaway have ever made, with distance gains of 10-12 yards over Big Bertha Diablo. That’s not just better, that’s a game changer. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairways possess the lowest, shallowest CG of any steel fairway wood Callaway have ever made, providing skilled players with a club that will perform more to their liking.
The standard Diablo Edge Fairway Woods feature the deepest centre of gravity (CG) of any fairway wood Callaway has ever made for high, distance-enhancing trajectory. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairway Woods have the lowest, shallowest CG of any steel Callaway fairway woods ever made for a flat, penetrating ball flight that is preferred by better players.
A forgiving, distance-enhancing alternative to long irons. The new Diablo Edge Hybrids have been specifically designed to provide golfers with a more forgiving, distance enhancing alternative to long irons. And with both standard and Tour models, the hybrids are available in a design that will suit all player types.
The Diablo just got better. This new Diablo Edge Hybrids does give you the edge. We’ve tested these hybrids and our pros commented on how easy they are to use compared to long irons. Fantastic technology!
There are several Set compositions to choose from in the option section.
The longest stainless steel irons Callaway have ever created. The Diablo Edge irons provide increased distance without compromising feel or performance. The lower, deeper centre of gravity (CG) makes the sweet spot more accessible and is in line with where amateurs most commonly hit the ball on the clubface, generating longer, consistent distance and improved accuracy.

Hass Claims Titleist’s Third Consectutive PGA Tour Victory
The Next Generation of Trust: Titleist Brand Ambassador Bill Haas Wins Bob Hope Classic 22 Years after his Father.
Success at the highest levels of competitive golf requires absolute trust in yourself and in your equipment. At the Bob Hope Classic, Titleist Brand Ambassador Bill Haas, demonstrated just how powerful that trust can be. Relying upon the Pro V1 golf ball and 14 Titleist golf clubs from tee-to-green, Haas realised a dream, winning for the first time on the PGA TOUR. With a birdie on the final hole, his well-earned victory comes 22 years after his father, fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Jay Haas, also won the Bob Hope Classic.
Haas closed with an 8-under 64, the best final round of his PGA TOUR career, to finish the weather-delayed 90-hole event at 30-under par, 330. He becomes the third first-time winner of the Bob Hope Classic in four years, each of whom also trusted Titleist golf balls for their success. Recent winners of the event include fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Charley Hoffman in 2007 and last year’s winner who relied upon the Pro V1x.
Haas trusted Titleist throughout his bag including the legendary Titleist Pro V1 ball, 909D2 driver (8.5), 909F3 fairway metal (13.0), New Titleist CB irons (2-P), Vokey Design Spin Milled C-C sand (54) and lob (60) wedges and Scotty Cameron Kombi putter.
Haas’ victory continues Titleist’s impressive start to the 2010 PGA Tour season, making it three wins from three events for the Pro V1 following victories by Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy and Pro V1 loyalist Ryan Palmer in recent weeks. As well as being the choice of the champion at the Bob Hope Classic, Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 81 players (63%), more than four times the nearest competitor with 18. Titleist also topped the counts in irons, sand, lob and approach wedges and the putter category.
Elsewhere, full line Titleist player Mitchell Brown trusted the performance and playability of Titleist to claim his first Australasian Tour victory. Brown beat fellow Titleist Ambassador Ashley Hall in an all-Titleist play-off at the New Zealand PGA Championship to top a leaderboard where 11 of the 13 players in the top-10 trusted a Titleist golf ball. On the Champions Tour, Tom Watson trusted the feel and control of the Pro V1 to win the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hawaii. Titleist also topped the counts for irons sets, sand, lob and approach wedges and putters at this event.
The third consecutive victory on the 2010 PGA Tour for the legendary Pro V1 franchise, and the second for a full line Titleist player, in addition to yet more victories across worldwide professional tours, offers further proof that the game’s elite opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.
