Anderson Hed Leads all Titleist Top -5 in Italian Open
Sweden’s Fredrik Anderson Hed claims his maiden European Tour victory as top five players all trust the superior performance of Titleist Pro V1x
Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Fredrik Anderson Hed topped the leaderboard at the BMW Italian Open to claim his maiden European Tour victory ahead of four fellow Pro V1x loyalists, as all of the top finishers in Italy trusted the #1 ball in golf for their success. Anderson Hed shot a stunning 9-under par 63 on Saturday to lead by six shots going into the final round, and finished with a 16-under par total of 272, to claim victory by 2 shots in his 245th European Tour start. Having visited the European Tour Qualifying School 14 times in his career, Anderson Hed now follows the likes of Rory McIlroy, Robert Karlsson, Ian Poulter and Camillo Villegas, to claim victory around the world with Titleist this year.
Joining Anderson Hed at the top of the leaderboard in Turin was David Horsey who finished second on 14-under par after a final round 68, one shot ahead of Chris Wood, Peter Gustafsson and Nicolas Colsaerts who finished tied for third to complete the all Titleist Pro V1x top-5. As well as being the choice of the champion at the BMW Italian Open, the majority of the field in Turin also put their trust in the legendary Pro V1 franchise, which was played by 94 players, more than all other golf balls combined.
Elsewhere, on the South African Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Keith Horne beat Titleist Brand Ambassador Christian Basson to claim the Investec Royal Swazi Open by one point. Joining Horne at the top of the leaderboard was fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Darren Fichardt and Pro V1x loyalist Bradford Vaughan who finished tied third along with one other. On the Korean / OneAsia Tour, Titleist loyalist DaeHyun Kim topped a Titleist one-two as he captured the Maekyung Open ahead of KyungTae Kim. Consecutive rounds of 66 over the weekend were enough for DaeHyun to top a leaderboard that included nine Titleist golf ball loyalists among the top-10 finishers. These wins lift Titleist’s worldwide win count for 2010 to 42, more than four times the nearest competitor with 9, and more than all other brands combined.
A maiden European Tour victory for Fredrik Anderson Hed and an all Titleist Pro V1x top-5 in Italy, as well as a host of victories on worldwide professional tours, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist golf balls for their success.
