NEW TaylorMade Burner SuperFast Driver
What TaylorMade Say
The Burner 07 is the best-selling driver in TaylorMade history, so there’s no doubting what a great club it is and the consumer’s belief in the credibility of SuperFast technology. TaylorMade improved on Burner 07 with last year’s Burner 09, and now they are unveiling the next generation of this phenomenal franchise, which they are calling Burner SuperFast. Burner SuperFast’s improved SuperFast technology makes it lighter, more aerodynamic, faster and, ultimately, longer. Trust TaylorMade, this thing is a speed demon, weighing an astounding 14 grams less than Burner 07. Burner SuperFast’s improved performance starts with a new 460cc clubhead shape that’s sleeker and more aerodynamic to significantly reduce wind resistance, allowing players to effortlessly increase their clubhead speed.
As aerodynamic as it is, Burner SuperFast’s clubhead still boasts high MOI for tremendous forgiveness, and also incorporates the largest clubface of any TaylorMade driver. Measuring an expansive 4,500 square millimetres, the new clubface is 14% larger than Burner 09’s clubface. The larger face is important in light of the fact that the longer club-length of Burner drivers, like Burner SuperFast, makes it more challenging for the average player to make square contact consistently, and the larger face gives them more area to strike the ball with. The Burner SuperFast face also features a new bulge and roll design that’s optimized to work with the higher MOI head to maximize forgiveness on off-center hits.
The Burner SuperFast clubhead also incorporates TaylorMade’s proven Dual-Crown technology, which both lowers and pulls back the center of gravity to promote a higher launch angle and increased spin. Introduced in TaylorMade’s Tour Burner driver two years ago and also used in the Burner 09, Dual Crown technology is a tremendously valuable asset.
Burner SuperFast’s shaft is the Matrix Ozik Ex-Con 4.8 shaft, and is also a critical part of the package as it’s both ultra-light and tip-soft, helping the golfer generate more ball speed, a higher launch angle and more spin to promote more distance. And at 46.5″ in length, Burner SuperFast automatically promotes a wide and fast swing arc.
Another vital upgrade to the Burner SuperFast is the new Winn Lite grip that weighs just 30 grams, which is a full 14 grams lighter than the Burner 09’s grip, yet it sacrifices nothing in terms of feel and traction. It’s a critical component to our overall quest to make this club, at 284 grams, the lightest driver TayloMade have ever produced. Meanwhile, they have got competitors bragging about creating a driver weighing just under 300 grams a barrier TaylorMade broke two years ago with Burner 07!
Put every element of TaylorMade’s newest version of SuperFast technology together and you’ve got a driver that screams through the hitting zone to promote more pop at impact for more clubhead speed and distance than any Burner driver ever has, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is saying something. And, speaking of ladies, don’t forget that Burner SuperFast is available in a ladies version in its own color palette.
Finally, a reminder about who this driver is for: the bomber. Remember? The player who likes to crush, kill and destroy the ball, who lives to swing hard and dreams of being the longest member of the foursome. Burner is for the bomber, and this is TaylorMade’s baddest Burner yet.

Meet the New Callaway Diablo Edge Family
Callaway edge technology has the unique shaping of the all titanium club heads allowed engineers to move weight in specific locations to achieve the optimal CG location and ball flights for the Draw or Neutral options with a higher MOI. It also helps close the clubface at impact so golfers can better release the club with power.
The new Callaway edge family consists of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and iron sets.
Designed to give golfers a distance advantage every time you tee it up. The Diablo Edge and Diablo Edge Tour Drivers offer superior face technology, a higher MOI, a deeper CG, and better aerodynamics — and it all adds up to the longest, most accurate all-titanium drivers Callaway Golf has ever made.
Diablo Edge Drivers feature two unique shapes (standard and tour), but all the same technology. Both drivers offer a 4-Piece Fused Titanium Design, a Chemically Milled Hyperbolic Face Cup and an Aerodynamic Body Shape for the longest all-titanium driver we have ever developed. The standard models feature a core Callaway technology (S2H2), which removes weight from the hosel and repositions it in the perimeter of the golf club for more stability. The Tour models have a full-length hosel, less face progression and an optimized centre of gravity that provides the look, feel and performance highly skilled golfers demand.
Callaway Diablo Edge Fairway Wood
The new Diablo Edge Fairway Woods are the longest, straightest steel fairway woods Callaway have ever made, with distance gains of 10-12 yards over Big Bertha Diablo. That’s not just better, that’s a game changer. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairways possess the lowest, shallowest CG of any steel fairway wood Callaway have ever made, providing skilled players with a club that will perform more to their liking.
The standard Diablo Edge Fairway Woods feature the deepest centre of gravity (CG) of any fairway wood Callaway has ever made for high, distance-enhancing trajectory. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairway Woods have the lowest, shallowest CG of any steel Callaway fairway woods ever made for a flat, penetrating ball flight that is preferred by better players.
A forgiving, distance-enhancing alternative to long irons. The new Diablo Edge Hybrids have been specifically designed to provide golfers with a more forgiving, distance enhancing alternative to long irons. And with both standard and Tour models, the hybrids are available in a design that will suit all player types.
The Diablo just got better. This new Diablo Edge Hybrids does give you the edge. We’ve tested these hybrids and our pros commented on how easy they are to use compared to long irons. Fantastic technology!
There are several Set compositions to choose from in the option section.
The longest stainless steel irons Callaway have ever created. The Diablo Edge irons provide increased distance without compromising feel or performance. The lower, deeper centre of gravity (CG) makes the sweet spot more accessible and is in line with where amateurs most commonly hit the ball on the clubface, generating longer, consistent distance and improved accuracy.

Boundy Claims Hong Kong Open in 1-2 Finish For Titleist Full Line Players
Titleist Ambassadors Gregory Bourdy and Rory McIlroy trust Titleist equipment from tee to green to top the leaderboard in Asia
Gregory Bourdy captured his third European Tour title at the Hong Kong Golf Club shooting a final round 3-under par 67 to hold off fellow full line Titleist player Rory McIlroy by two shots. Bourdy’s 19-under par total of 261 was enough to hold off a weekend surge from McIlroy, who fired weekend rounds of 65 and 64 to finish in second place on 17-under par. McIlroy’s third top five finish in three weeks raises him to the top of the inaugural Race to Dubai rankings going into the Dubai World Championships while Bourdy’s victory sees him climb into the top-60 of the rankings and also claim his place at the season ending event.
Bourdy trusted the superior feel of Titleist from tee to green for his victory, including the iconic Pro V1, 909D2 driver, 909F2 fairway metal, 585.H utility metal, new MB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron putter. As well as being the choice of the top two finishers Hong Kong, Titleist was also the most played ball with 93 players compared to 18 for the nearest competitor, and also topped the counts for irons and wedges respectively.
Among the equipment trusted by Bourdy in claiming victory was the latest iron offering from Titleist, the forged MB. Featuring classic looks and superior shot control for the highly skilled golfer, the Titleist MB irons have been designed using feedback from Titleist’s stable of Tour players, and their superior feel and workability has quickly put them into the winners circle.
McIlroy also trusted Titleist from tee to green for his runners-up finish in Hong Kong, which sees him climb to the top of the Race to Dubai rankings with just one event remaining. McIlroy’s equipment included the Pro V1x, 909D2 driver, 906F2 fairway metals, ZM irons, Vokey Design pitching wedge, Spin Milled sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron Studio Select Fastback putter. The precision and playability of Titleist throughout McIlroy’s bag has helped him claim eleven top-5 finishes this year including victory at the Dubai Desert Classic, as he looks to emulate fellow Titleist Ambassador Robert Karlsson who was crowned Europe’s #1 player in 2008.
An impressive victory for Titleist ambassador Gregory Bourdy takes the 2009 worldwide win count for Titleist golf balls to 146, more than five times the nearest competitor with 26 and more than all other brands combined, proving once again that the game’s elite continue to opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.

The New Nike Story
Nike Golf has introduced two new drivers, the Nike SQ DYMO STR8-FIT and Nike SQ DYMO² STR8-FIT, that are destined to revolutionise the way golfers can shape their tee shots to ensure maximum distance and pinpoint accuracy.
Working on the premise that the longest distance between two points is a straight line, the STR8-FIT technology gives golfers the best chance of hitting their longest, straightest drives by offering eight options to customise the position of the clubface.
The angle at which the clubface makes contact with the ball is the key factor in determining the direction the ball travels, as well as impacting on the shot shape, be it a draw, a fade or dead straight. Most golfers develop a consistent shot pattern over time that is hard to correct through technique alone, which is why the SQ DYMO STR8-FIT and Nike SQ DYMO² STR8-FIT drivers offer the perfect solution for those players who want to reduce the effects of slices or hooks, or promote a draw or a fade, without having to make changes to their grooved swings.
STR8-FIT technology allows the clubhead to be manually orientated into eight different positions to produce the desired shot shape and provide the most efficient means of hitting the ball not only straighter, but longer. There are three different clubhead positions for a closed clubface, which encourages shots to be shaped to the left; two positions for a neutral clubface, which allows the ball to be shaped in either direction, and three open clubface positions, which encourages shots to be shaped to the right.
Clubface angles range from a neutral position of zero degrees, to both one and two degrees, closed or open. In each clubhead position the lie angle also changes, providing the golfer further opportunity to optimise comfort and performance. This unique system allows golfers to self-customise their driver like never before, and to offer shot-shaping ability for all levels of player. The SQ DYMO and SQ DYMO² drivers draw upon all the technological benefits that made the original SUMO and SUMO² drivers so successful, including confidence inspiring square and round geometry to offer maximum control and distance.
The standard shaft option is the Nike Golf UST Proforce AXIV Core (available in weights of 59 grams, 69 grams and 79 grams), which features a strengthening core material for an extremely stable environment at impact, making it easier to swing the club faster and remain in complete control of the club head at all times.

TaylorMade R9 Driver – Pros and Cons
The TaylorMade R9 460 driver is a big and forgiving model that offers a great number of customisation possibilities for golfers. It’s an offshoot of the TaylorMade R9, with some differences that will please golfers and others that may not.
TaylorMade’s Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows the player to easily adjust a metal wood’s loft, lie and face angle. FCT utilizes a metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The sleeve can be rotated into different positions, changing the characteristics of the head (to one of eight different settings), by loosening the bolt that secures the sleeve and shaft into the club head.
It gets the ball in the air with ease, and has attributes that fit both low and high handicappers, so it suit any type of golfer. Better golfers will benefit more from the eight customizable settings, while those who struggle off the tee will appreciate the additional forgiveness. The T9 was one of the most popular drivers on the PGA Tour as soon as it was released, and this is TaylorMade’s attempt to bring some of that technology to a driver that’s more of a game improvement model.
The TaylorMade R9 has a slightly smaller club head (430 cc), but also has 18 grams of removable weights that a golfer can use to adjust the balance is more forgiving, it lacks having those weights, so a golfer who values that customisation won’t be satisfied with the bigger model. There has also been some criticism with the quality of the grip, though that is something that can be easily changed.
