MALAYSIAN MAGIC FROM MANASSERO HEADLINES WINNING WEEKEND FOR TITLEIST
Titleist Brand Ambassadors claimed victories around the world this weekend led by teenage sensation Matteo Manassero (Titleist Pro V1x) who won his second European Tour title just days before his 18th birthday. The record-breaking Italian, who became the Tour’s youngest-ever winner on his way to the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year honours in 2010, was in scintillating form as he stormed to victory at the Maybank Malaysian Open with a final round 68 (-4) and a 272 (-16) winning total. Manassero held off stiff competition from fellow Titleist Ambassadors Gregory Bourdy, Rory McIlroy and Rafael Cabrera-Bello who finished second, third and tied fourth respectively. In addition to climbing to a career-high 33rd in the Official World Golf Rankings he becomes the first player in history to have claimed two European Tour victories before the age of 18. Joining Manassero in the winners circle was PGA Tour rookie Brendan Steele (Pro V1x) who showed his metal with a clutch up-and-down on the 72nd hole to win his maiden PGA Tour title at the Valero Texas Open.
Trusting Titleist equipment from tee-to-green in Kuala Lumpur, Manassero’s winning bag included the Pro V1x golf ball, 910D2 driver, 910F fairways, 909H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges, and a Scotty Cameron Studio Select Fastback putter. In addition to being Manassero’s golf ball of choice, Titleist also dominated the golf ball count at the Maybank Malaysian Open with 96 players in the field playing the Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 20.
On the PGA Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Brendan Steele displayed tremendous composure under pressure, as he utilised a host of Titleist equipment to conquer the relentless windy conditions in the Lone Star State of Texas. Steele’s equipment included the Pro V1x golf ball, Titleist driver, fairways and hybrid, MB irons, and Vokey Design Wedges. The 28 year-old American finished with 12 straight pars for a 1-under par 71, as he overcame the toughest course on the PGA Tour so far this season. Runner-up and fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Charley Hoffman utilised the legendary Pro V1 golf ball, 910D3 driver, MB irons, Vokey Design Wedges, and Scotty Cameron Red X Putter to shoot a closing 67. Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the Valero Texas Open with 104 players putting their trust in the #1 ball in golf, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 12. Highlighting the strength of Titleist’s products, the brand also topped the counts in iron sets, wedges and putters at the Valero Texas Open.
Elsewhere, on the Nationwide Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Daniel Chopra won the rain shortened Fresh Express Classic in San Francisco after the final round was cancelled due to a dense bank of fog that settled over the course. Chopra’s one stroke victory over Titleist Brand Ambassador Luke List (new Pro V1x) completed a Titleist 1-2 and further increased Titleist’s impressive worldwide golf ball win count in 2011 to 36, compared to just 8 for its nearest competitor.
A second European Tour title for Manassero plus a debut victory for fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador and PGA Tour rookie Brendan Steele, coupled with a further victory for a on the Nationwide Tour, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.

WATNEY TRUSTS TITLEIST FROM TEE TO GREEN TO TAKE WGC TITLE
Following the example set by fellow Pro V1x loyalist Luke Donald a fortnight ago when he claimed his first WGC title, Titleist Brand Ambassador Nick Watney fired a final round 5-under par 67 to win the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral. Watney birdied the 72nd hole to claim a two shot victory in Florida and register his third PGA Tour victory. Continuing his stunning start to the 2011 season, Watney’s first victory follows three consecutive top-6 finishes and elevates him to #1 in the PGA Tour scoring average and #2 in the FedEx Cup points, behind fellow Pro V1x loyalist Mark Wilson.
Trusting Titleist equipment from tee-to-green in Florida, Watney’s winning equipment included the Pro V1x golf ball, 910D3 driver, 910F fairway, 910H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron Tour 350 putter. The precision and playability of Titleist equipment helped Watney finish on top of one of the strongest fields of the season at Doral, with his set custom built to tame the TPC Blue Monster. Having his irons bent one degree weaker than standard and adding an AP2 #3 iron to his set, in place of a 19˚ 910F, Watney played the required shots into each hole at Doral, making 12 birdies and one eagle over the final 36 holes.
Watney was joined at the top of the leaderboard by a host of Titleist golf ball loyalists including Anders Hanson (Pro V1x) who finished tied-3rd and Titleist Brand Ambassadors Adam Scott (New Pro V1), Rickie Fowler (Pro V1x) and Rory McIlroy (Pro V1x) who finished tied-6, tied-8 and tied-10 respectively. Of the 14 players who finished among the top-10 and ties in Florida, 10 relied upon the legendary feel and control of Titleist for their success. Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the WGC-Cadillac Championship with 37 players putting their trust in the #1 ball in golf, more than three times the nearest competitor with 12. The strength of Titleist’s product range also led to the brand topping the counts for iron sets, sand, lob and approach wedges, and putters respectively.
On the PGA Tour, Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Michael Bradley claimed the Puerto Rico Classic ahead of an all-Titleist top-3, beating Titleist Brand Ambassador Troy Matteson (Pro V1) at the first play-off hole. Completing the top-3 was Titleist Brand Ambassador Hunter Haas, who finished alone in third, two shots back from the play-off. Bradley’s victory continues Titleist’s impressive win count on the 2011 PGA Tour with 10 of the first 12 events being won by a player teeing up the legendary Pro V1 or Pro V1x, improving Titleist’s 2011 worldwide golf ball win count to 22, compared to 6 for the nearest competitor.
A first World Golf Championship victory for Titleist Brand Ambassador Nick Watney, coupled with a further victory for a Titleist golf ball loyalist on the PGA Tour, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.

Titleist was also the choice of the majority of the field at the Northern Trust Open, with 97 players playing the Pro V1 or Pro V1x, compared to 14 for the nearest competitor. Robert Karlsson also added to an impressive array of tournament victories, as the tall Swede claimed the lucrative season-ending Dubai World Championships. Karlsson conquers with Pro V1x balls and new Titleist 910 driver
Full line Titleist player Robert Karlsson claimed his second title of 2010 with victory in the highly anticipated Dubai World Championship, while adding another title for the new Titleist 910 driver. Beginning the final round three shots behind fellow Titleist ball loyalist Ian Poulter (Pro V1x), Karlsson surged into contention with two birdies and an eagle in the first three holes in the season-ending tournament, which featured the top-60 players from the Race to Dubai Rankings. The Swede, European Number One in 2008, finished with a flawless back-nine of 33 and final-round 67, to force a sudden death play-off with Poulter – who also finished at 14-under par.
Both players displayed great short-game control to birdie the first play-off hole, but it was Karlsson who was able to replicate the feat second time around with another deft pitch, to claim the winner’s cheque of €910,348 and the pride of overcoming one of the strongest fields in European Tour history.
As well as the Pro V1x and new Titleist 910 D3 Driver, which features revolutionary independent loft and lie adjustability, Karlsson put his trust in the playability of Titleist equipment throughout his bag, including 910F Fairways, Titleist MB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled Wedges and Scotty Cameron GSS Putter. Victory for Karlsson, the 11th of his career, sealed another dominant week for the Pro V1 franchise, as the #1 ball in golf was the overwhelming ball of choice at the Dubai World Championship. Titleist ball players dominated the leaderboard at the event, with World #1 Lee Westwood (Pro V1x) 3rd, and Rory McIlroy (Pro V1x) 5th, joining Karlsson and Poulter in the top 5.
It was a similar story on the Australasian Tour, where full line Titleist player Peter O’Malley (Pro V1x) trusted the new Titleist 910 D2 Driver, 910F Fairways, Titleist CB Irons, Vokey Design Wedges and a Scotty Cameron Kombi S Putter, to claim victory in the 2010 NSW Open following a three-way play-off with Titleist ball loyalist Peter Cooke (Pro V1x) and one other. Titleist was the overwhelming ball choice at the event with 116 of the 156 players (74%) putting their trust in golf’s #1 ball.
Elsewhere on the Japan Tour, full-line Titleist player Michio Matsumura (Prototype Pro V1x) was victorious after holding-off fellow Titleist ambassador Do-hoon Kim (Pro V1) in a play-off for the Casio World Open, after both players finished on 13-under par. Matsumura put his trust in the new Titleist 910 D2 Driver, 910 Hybrid, Titleist AP2 irons and Vokey Design wedges for the victory, which marked the 3rd for the prototype Pro V1x, following Padraig Harrington’s success in the Iskandor Johor Open last month, and Steven Bowditch in the Cellarbrations NSW PGA Championship last week. Victories for Karlsson, O’Malley and Matsumura have taken the Titleist Worldwide win count to 144, six times more than that of its nearest competitor with 24.
A heroic victory for Titleist Brand Ambassador Robert Karlsson, coupled with multiple wins across worldwide professional tours for Titleist golf ball loyalists, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.
