Fisher nets victory with Titleist
Titleist Brand Ambassador Ross Fisher claims the 3 Irish Open as the legendary Pro V1 franchise claims a further two Major victories and tops leaderboards around the world
Titleist, the #1 ball in golf, was at the top of leaderboards around the world this weekend, led by Ross Fisher who trusted the feel and precision of Titleist throughout his bag to claim his fourth European Tour title at the 3 Irish Open. Fisher fired a final round 65 to finish on 18-under par and equal the championship record of 266, edging out fellow Pro V1x loyalist Padraig Harrington by two shots. Also trusting Titleist to top leaderboards this weekend were Bernhard Langer and Yani Tseng, who won the U.S. Senior Open and RICOH Women’s British Open, taking the legendary Pro V1’s Major win count to four in three weeks, following Langer’s win at the Senior British Open last week and Louis Oosthuizen’s win at St. Andrews the week before.
Fisher trusted Titleist from tee to green for victory including the Pro V1x, a 910D3 prototype driver, 909F2 fairway metal, 909H hybrid, 695MB irons, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron putter. As well as being the choice of the champion in Ireland, the top of the leaderboard was littered with Titleist golf ball loyalists, including Chris Wood (Pro V1x) and Richard Green (Pro V1x) who finished tied third and tied fifth respectively. Titleist was also the overwhelming choice of the majority of the field, with 93 players compared to 29 for the nearest competitor.
In the final Major of the LPGA Tour season at Royal Birkdale, it was an all Titleist affair at the top of the leaderboard as Pro V1x loyalist Yani Tseng trusted Titleist to claim the RICOH Women’s British Open by one shot from Katherine Hull (Pro V1x). Tseng fired a final round 73 to hold onto her overnight lead and complete a wire-to-wire victory, becoming the youngest ever player to win three Major championships at the age of 21. Joining Tseng and Hull at the top of the leaderboard were Na Yeon Choi (Pro V1x) and In-Kyung Kim (Pro V1) who finished tied third, ahead of nine Titleist golf ball loyalists in the top-9 and ties.
Bernhard Langer trusted the feel and control of the Titleist Pro V1 for his second Major in two weeks, completing a sensational trans-Atlantic double of the U.S. Senior Open and Senior British Open. Langer fired a final round 3-under par 67 to claim a three shot victory for his fourth Champions Tour victory of 2010. Titleist was the overwhelming choice of the field at Sahalee Country Club, with 112 players putting their trust in the #1 Ball in Golf, compared to 18 for the nearest competitor.
Elsewhere, on the Nationwide Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Martin Pillar posted a 23-under par total to claim the Cox Classic by two shots ahead of an all Titleist top four, which included Titleist Brand Ambassador Alistair Presnell, and Titleist golf ball loyalists Dicky Pride (Pro V1) and James Hahn (Pro V1x). On the Asian Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Siddikur defeated Titleist Brand Ambassador Jbe Kruger at the first extra hole to claim the 2010 Brunei Open. On the South African Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Ulrich van den Berg topped an all Titleist top-6 for his sixth career victory at the Vodacom Business Origins of Golf. These victories take Titleist’s 2010 worldwide golf ball win count to 81, compared to 17 for the nearest competitor.
A record equalling victory for Titleist Brand Ambassador Ross Fisher coupled a fourth Major championship in three weeks for the legendary Titleist Pro V1 and further wins around the world, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.

On the China Tour, Li Chao (Pro V1x) won the second China PGA Champions Tour event in Zhuhai ahead of a field where nine of the eleven players who finished in the top-10 and ties trusted Titleist for their success. These victories take Titleist’s 2010 worldwide golf ball win count to 47, compared to just 10 for the nearest competitor.
A second victory for Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott in six months, as well as a host of other victories for Pro V1 players across worldwide professional tours, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.

Tim Clark Winner of the Players Championship at Sawgrass
The Players Championship is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour and has been running since 1974 and was originally know as the Tournament Players Championship. Outside the four main golf majors the Players Championship is considered one of the most important tournaments on the tour often referred to as the fifth major in the golfing calendar.
This year the Players Championship winner is Tim Clark winning by one shot from Robert Allenby as the current leader Lee Westwood’s challenge faltered on the back nine.
It was an eventful time this year at Sawgrass as the South African Clark overtook Westwood gaining a two shot lead on the 16th. Westwood finally finished joint fourth as he double-bogeyed on the 17th. World number one Tiger Woods retired after only seven holes of his round after suffering from a neck injury. However by this time he was out of the running for the title as he was two shots over for the day, leaving him two under overall.
So what was in the bag of the Players Championship winner – Tim Clark?

In a brilliant display of talent and confidence in himself and his equipment, Titleist Brand Ambassador Rory Mcllroy trusted the Pro V1x golf ball and a complete bag of Titleist clubs to win the Quail Hollow Championship for his first career PGA Tour victory. Just days shy of his 21st birthday, McIlroy went 5-under over the final five holes to close with a course record 10-under 62, topping the nearest competitor and Masters champion by four shots. He capped the magical round by converting a 40-foot putt on the final hole to finish at 15-under 273 to mark the second consecutive week a Titleist Brand Ambassador has joined the winner’s circle on the PGA Tour after Jason Bohn’s wire-to-wire victory at the Zurich Classic.
McIlroy becomes the first player since 2006 to make the cut on the number and win a PGA Tour event. McIlroy was two over the cut line on Friday with three holes to play, before making an eagle on his 16th hole. His 10-under par 62 is the lowest final round for a winner on Tour this year, a mark previously set by fellow full line Titleist player Bill Haas, who shot 64 en-route to his victory at the Bob Hope Classic.
McIlroy trusted the feel and playability of Titleist from tee-to-green for his victory including the Pro V1x ball, 909D2 driver, 909F2 fairway metals, new AP2 irons (3-4), new MB irons (5-9), Vokey Design Spin Milled C-C pitching, sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron Studio Select Fastback 1 prototype putter.
